Dr. Franz Herrmann is a German Patentanwalt and a European Patent and Trademark Attorney. He specializes in inventions in the fields of physics, medical engineering as well as electrical and software engineering.

Dr. Herrmann works in the field of intellectual property since 1994. He has experience as an in-house counsel in an industry patent department as well as a German and European patent attorney.

Dr. Herrmann holds a doctorate in physics from the Ludwigs-Maximilians-Universität in Munich (Germany). His thesis was done in a joint cooperation between Max-Planck-Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics in Munich (Germany), UC Berkeley (USA) and NASA Ames (USA). He did his undergraduate studies at the Technische Universität München (Germany) and at the Institut Laue Langevin in Grenoble (France).
